The State Board of Education (SBE) approved the following rules to go out for public comment at the June 8, 2009, meeting:

ADE Rules Governing Incentives for Teacher Recruitment and Retention in High Priority Districts with an Average Daily Membership of 1,000 or Fewer.

ADE Rules Governing the Code of Ethics for Arkansas Educators

The public hearing for the two rules listed above has been set for Thursday, July 9, 2009, in the Auditorium of the Arkansas Department of Education (ADE). The hearing for the Rules Governing the Code of Ethics for Arkansas Educators for public comments will begin at 10:00 a.m.

The public hearing for the Rules Governing Incentives for Teacher Recruitment and Retention will begin at 2:00 p.m. on the same day.

Copies of the two proposed revised rules are attached.
