The new updated version of Triand (called My.Triand) is being implemented this summer. Triand is the system used in Arkansas to send electronic transcripts when students transfer to other schools and by teachers and administrators for individual student reports. Trainings regarding the new Triand interface will be held at education cooperatives beginning in June 2009. Superintendents and Triand Administrators will have automatic access based on existing roles in Triand. Counselors and registrars who have sent or requested a transcript within the past year will also be given automatic access to My.Triand.

With the implementation of the Arkansas Department of Education (ADE) security policy as referenced in Commissioner’s Memo RT-09-010 dated 03/27/2009, it is highly recommended that any person accessing student records be within the secure confines of the district’s email server. Therefore, teachers who have used Triand previously must not use email addresses such as yahoo or hotmail to access Triand. In the event that a school is using TAC, the state’s Teacher Access Center software, this same email address should be used for access in Triand. The email addresses for Triand and TAC should be the same address, an official school email, and must be in the teacher catalog in APSCN (Pentamation software). Entering the email addresses in the teacher catalog will be the key for teachers to have access automatically generate logins to become active in My.Triand.

Please share this information with the appropriate personnel in the local district to ensure that teachers’ email addresses get entered as soon as possible into Arkansas Public School Computer Network (APSCN), so that teachers attending summer training sessions will be able to access My.Triand.
