The Technology and Curriculum Access Center (TCC), a program operated by Easter Seals Arkansas in collaboration with the Arkansas Department of Education (ADE), Special Education Unit (SEU) is offering a two-day professional development workshop titled, “Teaching Algebra and Geometry to High School Students with Disabilities”. The workshop will be offered on the following dates from 9:00 AM - 3:30 PM.
August 27, 2009, and August 28, 2009, at the Outreach Training Annex at 3724 Woodland Heights Road, Little Rock, AR 72212;
September 24, 2009, and September 25, 2009, at the Sturgis Room in the Outpatient Services Building at 3920 Woodland Heights Road, Little Rock, AR 72212;
October 8, 2009, and October 9, 2009, at the Outreach Training Annex at 3724 Woodland Heights Road, Little Rock, AR 72212.
This workshop will provide participants with resources developed by staff at the TCC for teaching mathematics to students with special needs and provide tools to assist with alternate assessment development. Lunch will be provided for day one, and lunch will be the responsibvility of each indivbidual for day two. Cost of the workshop is $150. This session was conducted previously during the 2008-2009 school year and is being repeated for the 2009-2010 school year.
