The Arkansas Department of Education (ADE) Office of Teacher Quality is hosting the Beginning Administrator Induction Training on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday, September 15-17, 2009, at the Hilton Little Rock Metro Center (University Avenue). All Beginning Administrators who did not attend Induction training in July (and the mentors) must attend the September Induction training. Each school district is to ensure that each Beginning Building Level Administrator and/or Curriculum/Program Administrator, paired with an assigned practicing administrator mentor, attend and be trained via this program. Administrator Mentors must attend both day one and day two (September 15-16) in order to be certified as an Arkansas Administrator Mentor. Beginning Administrators are to attend days two and three (September 16-17).
Administrators in the 1st, 2nd, or 3rd year of an Administrator Licensure Completion Plan are required to attend this Induction training. Administrators holding an Initial license (employed for the first time as a Building Level Administrator or Curriculum/Program Administrator), or holding a Standard License with less than one-year administrator experience in the state of Arkansas are also required to attend.
Individual online registrations, by both the Beginning Administrator and the Mentor are required no later than Friday, August 28, 2009. Online registration in advance of this Induction training session is mandatory. Attendees not registered in advance will not be accommodated.
