The Arkansas Department of Education (ADE) is now accepting applications from all districts for traveling teachers for the 2009-2010 school year.
The rules and updated applications for the Traveling Teacher Program are attached. The application must be received in the HR/Licensure Office, Four Capitol Mall, Room 204B, Little Rock, AR 72201 by October 1, 2009.
The purpose of this program is to assist school districts in providing appropriately licensed teachers to teach required courses in grades nine through twelve (9-12) in a district having a student population of 8,000 students or fewer. The traveling teacher will teach one (1) or more required courses in a critical shortage area, or one of the required 38 units pursuant to the Department Rules Governing the Standards for Accreditation.
