On September 14, 2009, the Arkansas State Board of Education approved a new School Leaders Licensure Assessment (SLLA) to be required for Building Level and Curriculum/Program Administrator licensure. This new SLLA (test # 1011) replaces the previous SLLA (test # 1010).
Since this is a new test that includes multiple choice as well as open response questions, a new qualifying score (cut-score of 163) was established. The Arkansas Department of Education (ADE) will accept passing scores on voluntarily taken new tests immediately and will continue to accept passing scores for the old test # 1010 (cut-score of 158) if taken before December 31, 2009, according to the rules governing licensure. However, test # 1011 will be the required assessment for Building Level and Curriculum/Program Administrator licensure after January 1, 2010.
