Governor Mike Beebe has proclaimed the month of October 2009 as Parental Involvement Month. The Governor encourages parents and communities to become actively involved in the local schools, as well as school personnel to provide ongoing communication with parents/caregivers and the local community.

In recognition of Parental Involvement Month, the local parent facilitator or school administrator is requested to innovatively recognize the Governor’s proclamation in the local school and community. A copy of the proclamation is provided as an attachment to this Commissioner’s Memorandum.
