The public comment period for proposed revisions to the Rules Governing Eligibility and Financial Incentives for the National Board Professional Teaching Standards (NBPTS) state support has been extended to Friday, October 30, 2009. The extended public comment period is to accommodate additions to the rules concerning bonuses for speech language pathologists as mandated by Act 607 of 2009. A public hearing has been scheduled for Monday, October 26, 2009, from 1:00-2:00 p.m. in the Arkansas Department of Education Auditorium, at #4 Capitol Mall, Little Rock, AR 72201.
