The Arkansas State Parent Involvement Resource Center (PIRC) in
coordination with the Arkansas Department of Education’s Title I office is hosting a parental involvement workshop on Wednesday, January 13,2010, from 12:30 to 3:30 pm at the Central Arkansas Library’s Darragh Center.
The workshop will train Parent Coordinators and Parent Facilitators from Title I schools in the newest modules of the Strengthening the
Partnership series. Training and training materials for the modules
will be provided and include a presenter script, participation handouts,and an evaluation form. The primary focus will be on: Helping Parents Understand School Report Cards; No Child Left Behind: What Parents Need to Know About School Accountability, Public School Choice and Supplemental Education Services (SES); and Making the Most of Parent Teacher Conferences: Tips for Parents.
The registration deadline is Friday, January 8, 2010. Registration
