Act 937 of 2009 amends Ark. Code Ann.§ 6-20-2513 and adds new Ark. Code Ann. § 6-20-2516. This Act establishes the Academic Facilities Review Board (Board) and also provides for the Appeal of certain decisions of the Division of Arkansas Public School Academic Facilities and Transportation to the Board.
Rules which implement the provisions of the Act have been approved to be released for public comment by the Commission for Arkansas Public School Academic Facilities and Transportation and are posted on the Division website: http://arkansasfacilities.arkansas.gov
School districts are encouraged to review the rules and provide comments during the open comment period which has been established as January 26 through April 9, 2010. Comments may be forwarded to the Division, Attn: Doug Eaton at doug.eaton@arkansas.gov .
