The EAST Logistics, Management, and Administrative (ELMA) workshop is designed to help strengthen the EAST programs by presenting specific topics pertaining to existing and planned aspects of local programs. It will also prepare administrators at all levels to understand how to support EAST.
Agenda items include:
EAST Vision and Mission
Relationships with state and national organizations
Supporting research
EAST support
Student selection, placement, and overall scheduling
Summer and after-hours possibilities
Student & Facilitator Professional Development
Logistical issues related to travel, conference participation, and upgrades
Best practices for the EAST environment
Cross-curricular pathways using the EAST technology to achieve meaningful community service
Workshop attendance is required by new EAST programs, Arkansas upgrade recipients, and new building administration or career counseling staff. At no time are facilitators and/or students eligible to fulfill a schools obligation to attend ELMA.
There is no cost to attend this workshop. Morning refreshments will be provided. Lunch is on your own. Six hours of technology professional development will be given to participants. Workshop hours are 9:00 to 4:00. Registration is Required. Ask your EAST facilitator about registration.
