The Penland School of Crafts is a national center for craft education located in the Blue Ridge Mountains of North Carolina. The school offers one-, two-, and eight-week workshops in various crafts, including books & paper, clay, drawing, glass, iron, metals, photography, printmaking and letterpress, textiles, and wood. All K-12 teachers, regardless of where they live, are eligible to receive half-price tuition when they take unfilled workshop spaces less than two weeks before the beginning of a class.
