St. John’s Church Foundation has produced an educational DVD “Liberty or Death” (2007) in partnership with the local PBS station; the American Public Television Network broadcast the program nationally. St. John’s Church Foundation and the National Society of the Children of the American Revolution have collaborated to provide the educational DVD “Liberty or Death” to public schools in each state. Each educational cooperative in the state of Arkansas will receive two free copies of the copyrighted DVD for use by classroom teachers and media specialists.

St. John’s Church is a National Historic Landmark and a living memorial to American liberty. During the Second Virginia Convention, over 100 colonial leaders from Virginia, including Patrick Henry, George Washington, and Thomas Jefferson met at St. John’s Church in March of 1775. The National Historic Landmark is recognized as the original location of Patrick Henry’s immortal “Give Me Liberty or Give Me Death!” speech.

Additional educational materials for elementary, middle, and high school students are available on the St. John’s Church Web site at http://www.historicstjohnschurch.org.
