The Office of Professional Licensure is now offering the new standard licensure designation of Professional license for those teachers who hold a current five-year, standard teaching license, are currently a National Board certified teacher OR have completed a Masters Degree or above and can document a minimum of three years of teaching experience.
Teachers meeting the above requirements may have this new Professional license designation placed on their standard teaching license by submitting a completed and signed licensure application form to the Office of Professional Licensure, checking off that they are requesting the Professional license designation and attaching a copy of their current National Boards certification OR official transcript reflecting the Masters Degree or higher when not already on file and written verification of three or more years of teaching experience.
There will be no fees assessed for those teachers applying for the Professional license who have already upgraded their license to the Masters level or above and have an official transcript on file or for those teachers who are National Board certified. Teacher’s who have not already upgraded their license to the Masters level or above, will pay a $50.00 fee.
