On behalf of Governor Mike Beebe, the Arkansas Department of Education (ADE) is pleased to announce that the Governor’s annual Scholastic Honors Day will be held in Little Rock on May 1, 2010, at the Governor's Mansion. Scholastic Honors Day recognizes Arkansas’ best and brightest students.

Please ask each of the top-two seniors at your high school to complete the online form and return it via e-mail per the instructions on the form. The Governor’s Office realizes that the decision about the identity of the two students may not yet be finalized, but please choose the two students who best represent academic achievement in the senior class.

Please direct all questions related to Scholastic Honors Day to Tiffani Butler, Program Coordinator, at 501-683-6457 or via e-mail to tiffani.butler@governor.arkansas.gov. Students must register online at the following Web-site address:
http://www.governor.arkansas.gov/scholastic_honors_2010_reservation.html no later than April 12, 2010.

Help us ensure that all of Arkansas's most outstanding students have the opportunity to participate in this wonderful event to honor academic performance. The Governor and First Lady look forward to meeting all of the students and their parents on May 1, 2010.
