The U.S. Census Bureau needs to hire and train thousands of Arkansas residents as census takers in the next few weeks. The Census Bureau will continue to recruit and hire local residents as census takers until July. Educators are encouraged to apply if they would like to work during their off months in the summer.
Attached please find a document with more details regarding job descriptions and pay information. Also attached is an ad that can be displayed.
Call 1-866-861-2010 to find an application testing site nearby. Applicants should take a valid driver’s license/state issued photo ID card AND a Social Security Card OR a valid U.S. Passport with them to the application site. Applicants should allow about three hours to complete the application process. There is a practice test and application materials on the 2010 Census website at http://2010.census.gov/2010censusjobs/application-material/.
