The Office of Professional Licensure is very happy to announce that the FBI criminal history record check information required for teacher licensure and the employment of classified employees can now be received on-line by all school districts that wish to participate.
However, only those schools that currently have a subscription account with the Information Network of Arkansas for the online request of Arkansas criminal history record checks will be able to take advantage of this opportunity.
School districts that have a subscription account with the Information Network of Arkansas for the online request of Arkansas criminal history record checks will now be able to send their teachers/classified employees to a harvester location where the fingerprints will be taken and sent electronically to the FBI. Results of this record check can be received online by the school district within a few days. Schools will still have the option of using the harvesters or submitting the hard copy of the fingerprint card to the State Police for processing. Either way, the results will be received on-line by the school district.
Please see attachments for instructions on subscribing to the online receipt of the FBI criminal history record check information.
The contact person at Information Network of Arkansas is Whitney Garner. She can be reached by e-mail at whitney@ark.org or by phone at 501-683-5322.
