Attached are the unrestricted and restricted indirect cost rates for fiscal year 2009-2010 for Arkansas school districts, education service cooperatives, and charter schools. The rates have been calculated using fiscal year 2007-2008 data, as required by federal regulations. A five percent discount was applied to all rates. Future indirect cost rates will be calculated using a carry forward method that will adjust individual district rates according to their actual data.
Please print this commissioner’s memo along with the appropriate attached list of indirect cost rates and place both in the audit file. The rates are to be used for expenditures in the 2009-2010 school year. The rates for computing indirect cost reimbursement in the 2010-2011 school year will be issued no later than June 30, 2011.
