This is in reference to Director's Communication No. ACC-99-029 issued on November 16, 1998 - the December 1, 1998, count of children with disabilities under Part B of the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act. The purpose of this memorandum is to notify you that school districts may submit the child count to the Arkansas Department of Education via the Arkansas Public School Computer Network (APSCN). Districts should verify the accuracy of the data prior to submission via APSCN.

Please follow the instructions on the APSCN web site located at http://www.k12.ar.us to submit the data via APSCN. Follow these procedures to access the instructions:

1. Click on "Administrative Computing,"
2. Click on "On-line Documentation,"
3. Click on "Student (SMS),"
4. Under "How To Procedures,"click on the December 1 Child Count Instructions.
