Recent changes in the testing component of the Alternative/Non-Traditional Teacher Licensure Program require the taking and passing of the Praxis 1 - PPST, and the Praxis II - Specialty Area Test(s), prior to acceptance into the program.
Since these tests are now required up front, with passing scores submitted to Teacher Licensure by June 15, 1999, all parties interested in the Non-Traditional Teacher Licensure Program must have taken the required test no later than the April test date established by ETS.
Unfortunately, this means we will not be able to respond to your request to get potential candidates into the program during the summer months unless they have already taken and passed the required exams.
Should you be aware of anyone who may be interested in the Non-Traditional Teacher Licensure Program for the 1999-2000 school year, please have them contact Mr. Jim Chism at 501-682-5762 as quickly as possible. Mr. Chism was recently appointed Director of the Non-Traditional Teacher Licensure Program and will see that all interested parties receive the necessary information.
