The University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences (UAMS) College of Nursing is pleased to announce the availability of a workshop training for social workers, nurses, nurse practitioners, health educators, psychologists, nutritionists, physicians, medical assistants, teachers, counselors and parents. This continuing education program is designed to appeal to a wide range of professionals who work with adolescents and provide basic concepts in identifying their health needs.
The program objectives include:
1. Understand the growth and development of adolescents
2. Demonstrate greater skills in working with youth
3. Experience a higher level of comfort when working with adolescents
4. Recognize what motivates adolescents
5. Describe the "normal" behaviors and needs of adolescents
The workshop will be held at the UAMS College of Nursing, Education 2 Building, Room G-137, 4301 West Markham, Little Rock, Arkansas. The workshop date and time: THURSDAY, APRIL 15, 8:30 AM TO 4:30 PM and FRIDAY, APRIL 16, 8:30 AM TO 3:00 PM.
THERE IS A $90.00 REGISTRATION FEE, WHICH MUST ACCOMPANY EACH REGISTRATION FORM. The deadline for registration is April 8, 1999.
