Arkansas received a competitive staff development grant in art education from the National Endowment of the Arts. The first of three workshops has been scheduled for August 5-6, 1999. The workshop will be "Practical Art Criticism for the Classroom," by nationally known Dr. Donna Kay Beattie, Professor of Art Education at Brigham Young University in Provo, UT.
