The Arkansas Department of Education will hold a public hearing on the proposed rules and regulations for the Gifted and Talented Program Approval Standards on May 11, 1999. The public hearing will be held in the Auditorium of the State Education Building at 2:00 p.m.

Copies of the rules and regulations are attached. Appendices are available by contacting 501-682-4224.

Written comments from the public will be accepted until May 25, 1999, and those comments should be sent to Ann Biggers, Administrator, Gifted and Talented Programs, Room 203B, #4 Capitol Mall, Little Rock, AR 72201.
