The Arkansas Department of Education (ADE) is required to report annually on the number of language minority and Limited English Proficient (LEP) students enrolled in Arkansas public schools to the United States Department of Education. This data is used to develop language appropriate services for LEP students and to assist ADE in planning for the needs of this student population. Data on the number of LEP students enrolled in your district is used to determine grant awards to assist school districts in serving LEP students. Attached are instructions, survey and reporting forms.
