As we enter into the 1999 Legislative Session, educational technology will be a focus for education in Arkansas. Accurate information will be needed to provide status reports and data for responses to questions that may arise. In order for the Department of Education to be responsive to such questions, we are partnering with Quality Education Data (QED), Project EdTech, to provide updated information. We have chosen to collect data at the district level rather than send questionnaires to each individual school.
By partnering with QED, we believe that we can reduce the number of individual surveys, reduce the cost to the state, and get the results processed more efficiently. The data collected through this process will not only be useful at the state level, it will be available for national dissemination. It is important that we have a response from each of our districts. Thank you in advance for seeing that this survey is completed either on paper or electronically through the Web site.
