Attached is a copy of the Arkansas Department of Education's Rules and Regulations governing Gifted and Talented Education Ark. Code Ann. 6-42-102 (Repl. 1993). These rules and regulations were approved by the State Board of Education on June 14, 1999. A copy of these rules and regulations, along with the document "Program Approval Standards for Gifted and Talented Program" (PAS), is being mailed to all school district superintendents, principals, and GT administrators/coordinators and all co-op directors and GT supervisors. Please see that this information gets distributed to all appropriate school personnel.
