Act 1117 of 1999, changed the requirements regarding home schools in Arkansas. Attached are copies of the Proposed Rules and Regulations Governing Home Schools that were presented to the State Board of Education on July 12, 1999. There will be a public hearing on these rules and regulations in the auditorium of the Arch Ford Education Building, #4 State Captiol Mall in Little Rock on August 24, 1999 at 1:30 p.m.

A new Home School Waiver and Notice of Intent to Home School form is also included with this memo. The Intent to Home School forms that were used last year can still be used but the Waiver form for the 1999-2000 school year has been changed to meet new legislative requirements and should be replaced.
