Arkansas received a competitive staff development grant in arts education from the National Endowment for the Arts. The second of three workshops has been scheduled for December 2-3, 1999. The workshop will be "Classroom Assessment Practices in the Arts," by nationally known Dr. Donna Kay Beattie, Professor of Art Education at Brigham Young University in Provo, UT, and author of "Assessment in Art Education."
