Act 1549 of 1999 requires a Department of Education approved Facilities Needs Assessment Justification for eligible school districts to receive General Facilities Funds.
The Facilities Needs Assessment Justification consists of each district submitting to the ADE its facilities needs. This component is to be updated each year. If a district's needs and priorities have not changed since the 1998-1999 school year, a letter stating that the district is still following the plan for the 1998-99 school year should be submitted. If a district has selected different facilities needs as a priority, please submit a statement of those needs to the office of School Plant Services by October 15, 1999.
