The Charlie May Simon (CMS) celebration will take on a new look in 2000.
Plans are currently under way for the Arkansas Young Readers and Writers Festival. The festival, scheduled for spring of 2000, replaces the CMS banquet.
The fun-filled day will include grade-appropriate reading and writing activities for children; interaction with the award-winning authors; medal presentation to the award-winning authors; and announcement of the newest CMS and Diamond Primary Book Awards.
The Arkansas Young Writers honorees will also be recognized.
