This Program provides a legal defense for public school employees against claims of Civil Liability, wrongful acts, and acts of omissions in the performance of their official duties.
The program also provides a per incident limit of $150,000, the defense of criminal charges under certain restrictive circumstances, and created The School Worker Defense Program Advisory Board. This program does not provide out-of-state automobile liability coverage.
All school districts should notify the Arkansas Department of Education Self-Insurance Section when they are sued even though they may have other coverage that could apply.
