The Arkansas Department of Education, Special Education Unit, would like to draw your attention to a letter you received concerning public meetings to be held around the State of Arkansas on November 29th through December 1, 1999. This invitation to attend public meetings is issued from the U.S. Department of Education, Arkansas Department of Education and Arkansas Department of Health and Human Services. The meetings will allow for Arkansans to provide OSEP with information concerning the education of students with disabilities in Arkansas. The Special Education Unit encourages you to attend the meeting in your area. The meetings will be held in Fort Smith, Harrison, Helena, Hope and Jonesboro. If you wish to attend the public meeting in your area, please call Sherrill Archer at 800-643-8258 to confirm your attendance or mail the attached form to:
