The Special Education Unit is in the process of developing and scheduling a seminar for attorneys representing school districts in special education due process hearings and/or litigation involving special education. The purpose of this memorandum is to request that you provide the names, mailing addresses and telephone numbers of attorneys your school district uses to represent the school district in special education matters.
It is anticipated that the seminar will be conducted during the Spring of 2000. An invitation will be mailed to each attorney who represents school districts. Expenses for mileage, lodging and meals will be reimbursed by the Special Education Unit. Additionally, it is anticipated that six (6) hours of continuing legal education units will be provided at no cost.
