In December 1999, a project was initiated to solicit ideas for changes and improvements to the APSCN software from all of its users. Two e-mail addresses were set up for this purpose (sms.ideas@mail.k12.ar.us and fms.ideas@mail.k12.ar.us). Additionally, two user focus groups were formed --- one for the Student Management software and one for the Financial Management software. Persons and school districts participating in these focus groups may be found at www.k12.ar.us/smsissue.htm. Financial Management users and their school districts may be found at www.k12.ar.us/fmsissue.htm.
Members of the focus groups represented all school districts in their Cooperative and shared ideas for consideration. All ideas received by e-mail were also considered by the focus groups. Interim results have been published on the APSCN web pages, and customers have been invited to respond.
As of February 14, 2000, the final list of Student Management Software suggestions was placed at http://www.k12.ar.us/smslist.htm for your review. The final list of Financial Management Software suggestions has been placed at http://www.k12.ar.us/fmslist.htm for your review. All suggestions are currently under consideration for inclusion in a future version of the software.
Please have the appropriate personnel in your school district review and respond to
this information. Responses may be e-mailed to sms.ideas@mail.k12.ar.us or fms.ideas@mail.k12.ar.us. Responses may also be sent to the appropriate focus group representative from your Cooperative.
All responses for consideration must be received not later than Monday, February 28, 2000.
