The Arkansas Department of Education (ADE) will hold a public hearing on proposed revisions to rules and regulations governing the funding of services for Limited English Proficient (LEP) students enrolled in Arkansas public schools. The proposed revisions would allow additional funds to be used for the purpose of providing training for LEP teachers, ADE personnel and other staff supporting district LEP programs.
The hearing will take place on Friday, March 17, 2000, at 2:00 p.m. in the Auditorium of the Arch Ford State Education Building, #4 State Capitol Mall, Little Rock, Arkansas, 72201.
Written comments regarding the proposed revisions will be accepted until April 3, 2000.
