The Individuals with Disabilities Education Act Amendments of 1997 requires that specific disciplinary information be submitted to the U.S. Department of Education as an annual data reporting requirement. The forms and instructions for completing the 1999-2000 school year reports are attached.

This report consists of two categories. In Section A, the discipline data are reported by disability category. In Section B, the same data are reported by ethnicity.

Completed reports are due June 16, 2000, and should be mailed to:

NOTE: There will be no electronic transmission of this report for the 1999-2000 school year. Each report will be submitted on paper forms. The Special Education Data System previously used to collect this information is unavailable. The system is being redesigned to run on the Arkansas Public School Computer Network and should be in place for the 2000-2001 school year.
