Attached is the data to be used in the calculation of the distribution of Poverty Index Funds for the 2000 -2001 fiscal year. The calculation is based on the percent of enrolled Kindergarten (K) and Grade 1 (1) students that are eligible to receive free and or reduced priced meals. The Department will distribute $8.5 million based on this data.
This data was submitted in the Cycle 2 "October 1 Report" of Student Data. It was taken from the meal field, where it was coded either "free", "reduced" or "paid". Since this is the first year to code this data, submit it via the SIS, and use it for the distribution of funds, it is important that you review this data for accuracy.
If you identify any discrepancies, please submit a written explanation with the appropriate documentation to:
