Training sessions on the SIS (State Information System) reporting cycles are planned at all of the educational cooperative sites beginning July 20 through August 18, 2000. There will be two identical sessions at all the Coops except Arkansas River, Great Rivers, and Southwest Coop. The first session will begin at 9:00 a.m. and conclude by 12:00 noon. The second will begin at l: 00 p.m. and conclude by 4:00 p.m. The attached schedule lists the training date for each Coop and the session your district should attend.
It is essential that the State Reporting Coordinator, Financial System Administrator and/or Bookkeeper, and Student System Administrator from your district attend one of the training sessions. In some districts one staff member may cover more than one of these areas of responsibility, and in that case, the district may send someone else who would benefit from the training. Due to limited space, please send no more than three persons to the training.
This training will greatly benefit each school district, making the electronic reporting easier to understand and giving the proper process and procedures to submit error free reports.
At least two follow-up video-conference training sessions on SIS reporting will be available in late August or early September. Further information will be provided on the dates and times in a later memo.
