In response to concerns linked to the September 11, 2001 incidents, Governor Huckabee has issued a proclamation and a personal letter supporting students’ opportunity to engage in prayer while at school. Additionally, Scott Smith, Department of Education staff attorney, has prepared comments addressing prayer by students at school. These documents are provided as guidance to school administrators as students and faculty seek ways of expressing themselves during these unsettling times.
