At its February 9, 2004, meeting, the State Board of Education adopted proposed emergency rules governing administrative consolidation or annexation of public school districts. Act 60 of the 2nd Extraordinary Session 2003, of the General Assembly, sets a short timeline for such implementation. Public comment is invited; however, it is anticipated that the Board will give final consideration under emergency conditions before the end of February.

A working draft of the proposed Rules is attached.
