The Arkansas Department of Education is required to submit information to the U.S. Department of Education according to the No Child Left Behind Act (NCLB) 2001,Title X, Part C – Homeless Education, Subtitle B of Title VII of the McKinney-Vento Homeless Assistance Act. The information will be used to determine the extent to which the state ensures homeless children and youth have access to a free, appropriate public education under Title X Part C of the No Child Left Behind Act of 2001.
The attached document contains the LEA Program Data Collection Form FY 2003-2004. The form should be completed with the information pertaining to the homeless children and youth in the local school district and returned on or before August 27, 2004, to: Susan Underwood, Arkansas Department of Education, Office of Education for Homeless Students, 4 Capitol Mall 402A, Little Rock, AR 72201.
