The Arkansas Department of Education compensates National Board Certified Teachers with an annual bonus of $5,000 (for up to ten years) while teaching in an Arkansas public school district. Several school districts offer an added incentive for National Board Certified Teachers. The attached list indicates these districts and the bonuses offered.

This list is annually posted on the Arkansas Department of Education Website (http://arkedu.state.ar.us/teachers/certification_program.html) as well as the National Board for Professional Teaching Standards’ Website (www.nbpts.org). The incentive list will also be used in various publications and presentations for National Board Certified Teacher recruitment and promotion throughout Arkansas.
