The Arkansas Department of Education (ADE) Office of Teacher Quality is hosting the Beginning Administrator Induction Training on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday, July 7-9, 2009, at the Airport Holiday Inn in Little Rock. Administrator Mentors must attend both day one and day two (July 7-8) in order to be certified as an Arkansas Administrator Mentor. Beginning Administrators are to attend days two and three (July 8-9).
It is the responsibility of all school districts to assure that each Beginning Building Level Administrator and/or Curriculum/Program Administrator, paired with an assigned practicing administrator mentor, attend and be trained via this program. Administrators in the first, second, or third year of an Administrator Licensure Completion Plan are required to attend this Induction training. Administrators holding an Initial license (employed for the first time as a Building Level Administrator or Curriculum/Program Administrator), or holding a Standard License with less than one-year administrator experience in the state of Arkansas are also required to attend. All Beginning Administrators hired prior to July 19, 2009, and their mentors must attend the July Induction training.

Individual online registrations, by both the Beginning Administrator and the Mentor are required no later than Friday, June 19, 2009.
