Ark. Code Ann.§6-18-508 (d)(1)(A) and §6-18-509 (d) require that each school district shall submit an Annual Report of the race, gender and other pertinent information regarding students placed in an alternative learning environment to the Arkansas Department of Education (ADE). The ADE is required to report this information to the Joint Interim Oversight Sub-Committee on Educational Reform.
The statutes also require that the district submit, along with its Annual Report, an Assurance Statement that is in compliance with the establishment of an alternative learning environment. Attached are the Alternative Learning Environment (ALE) Annual Report form, Assurance Statement and the ALE Program Description Approval Submission Form.
Please return the completed 2010-2011 ALE Program Description Approval Submission Form and submit the form with the original signature documents on or before March 31, 2010, to: Ms. Lori Lamb, ALE Director, 420 North Main Street, Greenwood, AR 72936.
Please return the completed 2009-2010 Annual Report and Assurance Statement on or before August 20, 2010, to: Ms. Lori Lamb, ALE Director, 420 North Main Street, Greenwood, AR 72936.
