The Arkansas Department of Education will hold a series of public hearings on the proposed rules and regulations on Charter Schools. A copy of the proposed rules and regulations is attached.
The hearings will be from 11 a.m. - 1:30 p.m. on the following dates:
· July 26, 1999 - Arkansas State Police Headquarters, Classroom C, #1 State Police Plaza Drive, Geyer Springs & I-30, Little Rock;
· August 16, 1999 - Westark College, Echols Conference Center, Waldron Road & Kencaid Avenue, 5210 Grand Avenue, Fort Smith;
· August 19, 1999 - U of A Monticello, Gibbson University Center - Capitol Room, University Drive, Monticello; and
· August 25, 1999 - Forrest City High School, Auditorium, 467 Victoria Street, Forrest City.
