The Department of Education announces the availability of funds for school districts to apply through a competitive grant process for Arkansas Pathwise Mentoring Model Grants. The Pathwise Observation System has been approved by the State Board of Education as the Arkansas Model for mentoring novice teachers. Districts will submit plans for the implementation of this model.
Programs will be funded for the 2000/2001 school year. Guidelines for preparing the grant applications, as well as, selection criteria are contained in the attached Request for Proposals. Please submit the original application and five copies of the Request for Proposals to our office by 4:00 P. M. on Monday, April 14, 2000, to the Arkansas Department of Education, Attn: Melanie Kennon,#4 Capitol Mall, Suite 105B, Little Rock, AR 72201.
